Boats- materials request and Music Monday

We have been doing a lot of exploring with regards to boats, buoyancy, stability, propulsion, and water proof materials. The students have been able to get their hands on a variety of materials and build, test, and alter their creations so that they are buoyant (float).

On Friday the student will be using all of their learning to build their own boat that will be able to move across water on its own and to carry a load of 3 'Hot Wheels cars' or more.  They will be responsible for bringing in materials for them to use to build their boat at school. Please do not build it at home.  I will provide fasteners such as tape, paperclips, hot glue (I'll be in charge), pipe cleaners, etc.  They will need to find materials at home and bring them in for Thursday-have them raid the recycling bin and choose materials they know are best suited for boat building.

Music Monday Rehearsal and Performances

There will be two performances (10:30am and 2:30pm) on Monday, May 6th and families are invited to attend!  

A few of our copperfield classes will be away that day. Families of those students are welcome to come watch our rehearsal on Friday, May 3 at 10:30am. Mrs. Thouin's class will not be away that day.
